Happy secular New Year! I hope this year brings good health and happiness to you and your family.
Have you ever been to an FJMC Convention? If not, you’re missing out on a great event. Our conventions are filled with so many wonderful activities, you won’t know which to choose. That’s why it's a good idea to have a few men from each club attend - in that way, you can be sure that your club will have all the information we offer to help the club succeed.
For those who have never been to a Convention, now is your chance to go to what I’m sure will be the best one ever! Yes, we’ll have training beyond compare, interesting speakers and follow-up sessions, great food and drink and all the wonderful events that you’ve come to expect from the FJMC Convention, but most importantly, it’s your chance to build meaningful relationships with men from all around North America!
This year’s theme is “Ready to Embrace Change, Energize Communities”. That theme was chosen to represent the changes that FJMC has been making and will continue to make going forward as we chart a new future for FJMC and the Jewish community. You’ll be reading more about that in the coming months.
FJMC will meet in downtown Chicago from July 3-6, 2025, placing us near all that the great city has to offer. The action-packed week includes pre-convention activities such a visit to iconic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs for a game against the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, July 1, a daytime tour of Jewish Chicago on Wednesday, July 2, and an evening boat ride on Lake Michigan that includes a menu of deep-dish pizza, beverages and fireworks!
And that’s not all! Within a short walk of the Sheraton Riverwalk, there are opportunities for shopping, strolling down Chicago’s Magnificent Mile on Michigan Ave., taking in all the sites and sounds of the eclectic Navy Pier grounds and the scenic Chicago River, showcasing one of the top-ranked and celebrated river walks in the U.S.
FJMC convention registration is now open and accessible online with the link found at: https://convention.fjmc.org/2025-chicago/. We’re encouraging you to register for Convention on or before January 10, 2025. By doing so, you'll be eligible for exclusive access to purchase tickets to the Tuesday Cubs game and the Wednesday night dinner cruise, as tickets for these events are very limited. In addition, the $50 registration fee will be waived for attendees who register online before February 8, 2025.
For further information, please contact: Convention Chair, Mark Givarz at mgivarz@fjmc.org or Convention Asst. Chair, Jay Steinmetz at jsteinmetz@fjmc.org.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you.
In Brotherhood,
Alan Budman

FJMC provides opportunities to learn and exercise life/leadership skills which you may not have the opportunity to either learn or use in your work. (Such skills relate to working constructively with a group to accomplish something more than one person alone could not accomplish.)
