Imagine for a second that you paid for and subscribed to the New York Times, but the paper never arrived. How would you feel? You might feel like the organization wasn’t providing any value to you. Well, our club members have paid for benefits from FJMC, and if we don’t have their contact information, we can’t provide them with the services that they paid for. This extends to those paid-up club members whose synagogues hold the membership roster and, for valid reasons, will not share this information with other organizations. This is like signing up for the New York Times, but someone else deciding not to give the Times your address. Don’t you think your members deserve to be asked whether they would like to receive the benefits they have already paid for? Independent of the synagogue’s membership database, club leaders can ask their members whether their contact information can be supplied to FJMC. Those who are not on our list missed out on over 150 webinars/affinity group events last year. One can imagine people being upset that they paid for these events but they were not given the opportunity to attend them. As this graphic shows, we are making progress updating our membership lists. Now that the dues collection period is coming to a close, it is time to enter your members into our database. Instruction are on fjmc.org under the Clubs tab. |
