It’s like going to a Chinese Restaurant says Convention Chair Danny Mandeau. There is so much on the agenda that it would be almost impossible to partake in everything. You simply choose what peaks your interest.

Highlights from the convention schedule include keynote speakers Dr. Micah Goodman and basketball phenom, Tal Brody. As well, the FJMC Affinity groups be presenting financial, genealogy, cooking and sports events. All our awards ceremonies will also be taking place this year including Torch Awards, Ma’asim Tovim. There is even a scotch tasting event and a late night “Cards Against Humanity” game. “We have succeeded in creating something for everybody” says Programming Chair, Doug Segerman. 

You can attend all the events above and so much more including our now world famous Cantors' Concert for $36.00. That’s cheaper than most Chinese Buffets.

Having gone over putting together a good speech (Part 1) and preparing your speech (Part 2), we are now going to discuss practicing and delivering your speech.

The Wine on the Vine program was starting to gain momentum in the FJMC and had created exciting programs and involvement. However, I am sorry to report; the Israel Innovation Fund has decided not to continue the program with the FJMC.

One of the great things about the FJMC is that it is completely led and run by volunteer lay leaders. For those of us that have been involved in Jewish communal work, we know that this is a major accomplishment. We are always looking for members with specific talents and skills to replenish our cadre of volunteers as they move up in the organization and take on more responsibilities on the international and regional level.

The database is used by our International leadership and Committee Chairmen that are always in need of new volunteers. If you have not already done so in the past, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. We promise it will only take a few minutes and could lead to you having an impact on the FJMC.
