Welcome to Teruah! The series of short shofar blasts that are designed to wake you up in services and let you know that something important is coming is the NEW FJMC weekly message! These “Teruah Blasts” will consist of a single sentence that links to a longer bit of information. The longer bit of information will then link to a full-length article, a short video or audio clip (like this one from myjewishlearning) or even an informative image or link.
In the past, we’ve spent a significant amount of time writing up, editing, and creating issues of HaShofar and over the past few years, the number of folks who have opened that email or clicked on the links or commented on the articles have been dwindling significantly. Either we’ve passed the time when an internet-sent EMAIL newsletter might serves a good communication purpose or we’re all saturated with EMAIL messages (and newsletters). So, we’ve decided to PAUSE the HaShofar to see how well this initiative works.
Do you have an idea for an upcoming Teruah Blast?
Is your club or region doing something that you’d like to let others know about?
Maybe your club is having a great speaker & you want to get the word out. Perhaps your region is running an online event that others might benefit from.
