FJMC Statement Against Hatred, Bigotry, Discrimination, and Racism

The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs reaffirms our unwavering stance against hatred, bigotry, discrimination and racism in all its forms. Rooted in Jewish values of justice, compassion, and solidarity, we declare our commitment to actively oppose and eradicate anti-Semitism, racism and bigotry wherever they manifest, based on the core Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Ahavat Briot (love of humanity)

Our tradition teaches us that every human being is created in the image of God. To devalue or harm another is to violate the sacredness of life itself. The Jewish people have witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of prejudice and bigotry, and we are committed to working tirelessly to eradicate these evils from our world.

We pledge to foster environments where diversity is celebrated, differences are respected, and every individual is valued. Through education, advocacy, and allyship, we strive to build a society where all people can thrive free from fear and prejudice. We will join in the struggle of others as anti-racists standing up to all forms of hatred and bigotry.

As an organization dedicated to community, education and mutual support, the FJMC recognizes the urgency of taking concrete actions to confront systemic biases and promote inclusivity.

We call upon our members, partners and communities to join us in standing against anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, ensuring that our words are backed by meaningful deeds.

We call upon all people of conscience to join us in building a society founded on mutual respect, understanding and equality. Let us turn away from those who seek to divide us through fear and hatred. Let us embrace our diversity as a source of strength and creativity.

May we all strive to create a world where every individual is treated with dignity and compassion, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or any other distinction.
