Binding us around the world

Making a difference with extra tefillin

Got any tefillin that are gathering dust in a drawer or cabinet? Here’s an opportunity to make sure they are put to good use.

Under a special new partnership with our friends at Kulanu Inc., we are collecting tefillin to send to Jewish communities and Jewish men around the world who want and will use them. Our partners at Kulanu will get them to our faraway brothers; all we have to do is get them to Kulanu.

What to donate:

  • Tefillin (shel yad + shel rosh). Complete sets preferred, but partials still welcome
  • Cases/bags (if you have them)
  • Straps (retzuot)

One simple request: If a set’s kashrut is questionable, just label it clearly as “questionable.” That’s it.

Where to send donations:

To obtain a mailing address, inquire with Rabbi Noam Raucher, at

A second goal: To build relationships, not just shipments

But wait! There’s more…

This isn’t only about getting tefillin into the right hands. It’s also about growing a shared community across distance. We want to invite the recipients of these tefillin to join FJMC International for the World Wide Wrap each year – expanding our circle and literally strengthening bonds through the ritual of binding ourselves to our tradition.

If your men’s club will participate, email Rabbi Raucher at and we’ll share the mailing address and a simple donation drive checklist you can run in one week.
