Joe Ross, a retired attorney, has been doing Jewish genealogy for over 25 years, with an emphasis on Poland. A longtime volunteer for Jewish Records Indexing-Poland, he has served on its Board for the last four years. Joe will tell how he was able to discover Howard Elgart’s family’s journey using immigration, census and burial records,, then go backward to Ukraine, using the Ukrainian databases in JewishGen to show how far back the family goes and other interesting findings.
