In a non-Convention year, we know that the month of June will always bring our Quad-Region Retreat — a time when the Hudson Valley, Middle Atlantic, New York Metro, and Northern New Jersey regions will gather together for a long weekend of friendship, sharing, learning, davening, and all-around camaraderie. What we also know is that many members of each region will, in addition to their personal ruach (spirit), bring wonderful potables to help get us in the spirit after the davening, learning and sharing are done.
Having not yet decided what I will bring this year (I always try not to repeat) I can’t write about it. And… nobody having revealed their contributions to the “hospitality suite” yet, I can’t communicate with those spirits yet.
As such, we have to wait until the July edition – after the Quad-Region Séance, er, um, uh, Retreat – to get a report on one or more of the better pours we sample.
