Response from the Editor
Pride & Prejudice

Letter to the Editor,

“With all due respect, what does this trivial nonsense have to do with the alarming sharp rise in politically correct antisemitism and anti-zionism? Shouldn’t members of Jewish organizations learning how to defend themselves both verbally and physically have priority over “Pride and Prejudice”?”

Sincerely,
Michael Perloff

Dear Mike,

Thanks for your message.

It gives me an opportunity to extol FJMC International for being such a great organization.

Yes, the rise in antisemitism and anti-Zionism is very serious and cannot be ignored. That’s why FJMC International is fighting back with programs designed to inform and equip our members, and the Jewish community in general, with ways to respond to such hatred.

Our Webroot Classification: green

Combating Antisemitism Program is in the forefront of this issue, and many of our readers have been able to use it to counter the rise in hatred coming from all sides of the political spectrum.

As part of that commitment, FJMC also publishes CATALYST, a publication specifically dedicated to combating antisemitism. Our most recent issue commemorated October 7 and highlighted the alarming surge in antisemitism worldwide. Through this publication, we help readers better understand antisemitism, recognize its many forms, and engage others in informed discussion and meaningful action.

Webroot Classification: green

Israel Programming Initiative began issuing weekly Toolkits to inform and prepare our members within days of October 7 and continues to support Israel in any way possible.

And that’s the beauty of FJMC International—we can fight antisemitism, support Israel, and be inclusive of all people. We are open to those who want to work in these and many other matters of interest to the Jewish community.

Thanks for your interest and support of FJMC!

Sincerely,
Alan Budman
