Shalom Brothers!
Passover is coming fast—and we’re putting together something special: a Men’s Haggadah for FJMC International, built by the voices, creativity, humor, and hard-won wisdom of our own FJMC International guys.
This is not a “committee document.” This Haggadah is meant to be a living one. Personal. Honest. Sometimes funny. Sometimes tender. Always aimed at the same journey the Seder is really about: moving from slavery to freedom—in our lives, our relationships, and the way we show up as men.
Here’s the ask: We’re opening a limited number of contribution slots for men across FJMC International. You can contribute in one of three ways:
Choose one of the 15 parts of the Seder and write a short (about 300 words) introduction with a personal connection or understanding of that step of the Seder. You don’t need to be a scholar. We’re looking for a real voice, real life, and something a guy at the table can actually use.
A) Seder-step art (15 slots)
Create an 8×5 visual piece tied to one of the 15 Seder steps—something that visually captures slavery → freedom for that moment. (Simple is great. Bold is great. Hand-drawn is welcome.)
B) The Four Children art (4 slots)
We also need four separate 3×5 visuals. These are some of the most powerful pages in the Haggadah—help us make them unforgettable.
The Wise child
The Wicked child
The Simple child
The One Who Doesn’t Know How to Ask
Think of it as a moment of levity, clarity, or spark that helps a table breathe. Choose one seder step and create one of the following.
A short poem (funny or moving)
A dad-joke (yes, really—clean, seder-appropriate, and actually funny)
A tight “deep wisdom” nugget—one paragraph or a few lines that land
That’s at least 49 different ways to show up. And we expect they’ll go quickly. Space is limited and time is short because we need enough runway to organize, edit lightly, design, and publish this in time for Passover. If you want a slot, please jump in now rather than “sometime soon.”
How to sign up: Simply click this link for the Excel doc. Scroll the list of options and add your name and email next to that option. Please select only one option at this time so we can spread the opportunities around.
Please mind the final due date: Friday, March 6, 2026. Please also expect an email or two from me checking in.
This Haggadah will only be as strong as the men who build it. We want this Haggadah to be built by you.
With gratitude and excitement,
