Stardate 05/01/26: The trek continues

By Bruce Tomar

As we continue our ship’s two-year mission into the new frontier, I thought this might be a good time to open a channel from center seat.

To provide men with new opportunities and growth – Our away teams are identifying and putting together programs for our regions and clubs to help focus on younger men and individual men.

To seek out new relationships and engagements – Communication is the key. Not only through our weekly newsletters, webinar updates and Wednesday digest, but through our amazing news magazines:

  • Pride and Prejudice – Keeping us informed on inclusion, Jews making a difference and the society around us.
  • L’Chaim – Health and wellness is a prime directive.
  • Catalyst – Our newest magazine, premiering shortly with much needed information on how we can combat antisemitism.
  • “Mama’s Boys” – Our podcast featuring our executive director, Noam Raucher, meeting with Jewish men we respect and discussing what it means to be a man in today’s world.
  • HaD’Var – Our monthly news magazine filled with important dates and articles of interest to men.

To boldly go where no men’s organization has gone before (cue 1970s Star Trek theme)– As we approach our 100th anniversary, we can reflect on where we started with a handful of clubs in the Philadelphia and New York area. Then spreading across the United States, and then Canada. And now we are on the precipice of fulfilling a mandate to truly make FJMC a global Jewish men’s organization as we grow in Europe and then South America.

Our teams are always looking for new blood, new concepts, new ideas. If you would like to be part of the mission and vision, let me know.

Yours in brotherhood,

Bruce Tomar
