2027 FJMC International Convention

What's New with Registration?

Installment program participants:
If you set up installment payments using the 2027 Convention Installment Program, do not register here until February 1, 2027.  You will not be charged a registration fee.  We will be adding a credit to your registration form on that date for the amount you paid up until that date. So you'll only need to pay the difference between your registration total and the amount you already paid in installments.  We have plenty of rooms allocated so anyone who wants a single room will be able to purchase it.  None of the excursions are under contract yet, so you'll be able to purchase those as soon as they are announced.  As an alternative, you can register now and click "Pay Later" and return to the registration page to pay your balance once your installment credit is activated.

For All members:
All of your options for arrival date, stay duration, extra room nights, and combinations with spouse/partner and children, regional subsidy credits, and installment credits will be selected below on this form and used to determine your total fees for convention.  

Your convention registration includes the room you selected and the meals you'll be receiving.  If arriving on Thursday, you'll get 8 meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast.  If you arrive on Friday (Shabbat Weekend) you'll get 5 meals from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast.

You will need to use the Whova mobile app to order Pre-Convention activities (such as excursions), as well as any extra meals you may wish to purchase for guests.  We'll send you the links to Whova and directions to sign up for these activities and meals when they become available.  Currently none of the excursions have been finalized.  As we finalize contracts with the vendors, we'll update you on their availability and provide the link to sign up and pay for them.

At the last Convention, we rolled out an exciting new feature that allows you to come back into your existing registration and do any of the following:

  • Select eCheck (ACH debit from your bank) for your payment method.  This saves you the 3.5% transaction fee and eliminates the need to use Zelle. 
  • Pay your balance due in full on a credit card
  • Change your choices, resulting in a new balance due.  Examples: Changing your room type from shared to single, adding a spouse/partner, adding a pre-convention room. 
    • If this change results in a balance due (as opposed to a credit balance), then you will need to pay the new balance due in full using a credit card or eCheck (ACH).
    • If you end up with a credit balance, we will issue you a refund check.
  • If you need to cancel your registration, email details to: convention-registration@fjmc.org

  • The last day to Register is June 6, 2027, but deadline for changes, cancellations and/or receive a full refund is May 15, 2027.  Credit card fees cannot be refunded.
  • You can review your purchase history when you log into www.fjmc.org and review your dashboard.

Definitions - Please read carefully before registering:

Shared room = You'll get 1/2 of a hotel room & all your meals, the other half of the hotel room will be shared by a fellow attendee (not your spouse/partner) that we will assign to you (we will do our best to honor roommate requests).  Choose this if you’re attending alone and want FJMC to assign you a roommate.

Single room = You'll get a full hotel room & all your meals.   If you choose a single room in order to share with your partner, but your partner is not a registered convention attendee, then meals for your partner would need to be purchased separately via the Whova mobile app.  The partner would also not get credentials to attend workshops, speakers, etc.  Choose this if you’re attending alone and want a private room, or if you’re bringing a partner who is not registering for Convention.

Member + Partner = You and your partner share a room, and you each get meals & full attendance credentials.  Choose this if you and your partner are both attending Convention activities and both want full credentials and meals.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER YOUR PARTNER/SPOUSE SEPARATELY.   
The fields below will let you specify "member + partner" and enter your partner's name.  You can also select Member, Partner, and up to 2 children.  If you wish to register and pay for your partner separately, that registration MUST use a different email than the one you're using here, because this registration system will not let you use the same email for 2 separate registrations.

Approximately 90 days before convention begins, you will receive an email from FJMC with a link to Whova, the highly successful mobile and web app we used for our 2021, 2023, and 2025 Conventions. With Whova, you'll be able to order Pre-Convention activities, extra meals, access the 2027 convention schedule, see who's attending, upload your profile photo, connect with friends and arrange meetups, post messages, photos and short videos, collaborate, manage your agenda, and much more!

How do I pay?

If you are registering before May 1, 2027, you can pay by eCheck (ACH), paper check, or Credit Card.

If you are registering on/after May 1, 2027, you must pay in full with a credit card or by eCheck (ACH).

Fees:

$$ Early Bird Discount: Register by January 1, 2027, and the $100 registration fee will be waived!  $$

A required 3.5% Credit Card Processing Fee will be applied to cover FJMC credit card processing expenses.  There are no Processing Fees if you use eCheck or paper check.

Remember, the last day to Register is June 6, 2027, but deadline for changes, cancellations and/or receiving a full refund is May 15, 2027.  Credit card fees cannot be refunded.

Ansh-eh Zafon (Canada) Members:  Your region may have made other arrangements for you to pay.  Please check with your club or regional officers for details.

Travel Insurance (IMPORTANT)

WE STRONGLY SUGGEST that everyone purchase 'Cancel for Any Reason' or 'No Cause' travel insurance, which would allow you to submit a claim for reimbursement of your registration fees in the event that (due to illness or other issue) your are disinclined to travel.  The FJMC is unlike an airline, where you can cancel up to 'almost the last minute' and get refunded.  The FJMC Convention has a legal contract with the caterer and the hotel.  Once we provide the number of attendees, they both lock in our numbers and our liability for the totals we provided.

Planning your travel:

If you are flying in on Thursday, July 8, try to plan your arrival flight to enable enough time to be downtown at the hotel before 12 noon, when the first events of the Convention kick off.  Leave yourself about 3 hours to deplane, pick up your bags, and get transportation to the hotel (Uber or Public Transportation - BART).  Similarly, plan your Sunday departure flight to leave no earlier than 4pm, in order to get to the airport, check your bags, and transit through security.

If you are driving, also plan to be at the hotel before noon on Thursday, July 8.

More details about airports, driving/parking, etc. will be forthcoming.

If you are considering attending any of the "pre-convention" events to be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday morning, please consider adding additional hotel room nights to your registration, which can be found under the category of "Pre-Convention Rooms". These rooms are at our group rate - no markup.  Similarly, if you choose to extend your stay, our group rates are available for up to 3 days, which can be found under the category of "Post-Convention Rooms".

Provide any dietary restrictions including: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and food allergies. We are unable to accomodate all requests because our contract is bound by the policies of the caterer.

Let us know if you need a handicap accessible room, a walk-in shower or other special needs. While FJMC cannot guarantee availability, we will do our best to accomodate your request.

There are multiple items from which you may need to select an option. Please check all dropdowns and carefully read the instructions provided. If your region has provided us with subsidies, they will be listed in "Regional Subsidies" and the amount you select will be subtracted from your total. If you paid into the Installment Program, your name will be listed with the amount you committed for the term of your payments. Select this to apply that amount as a credit to your total.

Select a Full Convention option if you are attending Convention Thursday through Sunday. You can add additional days before or after convention with other options below. If you're only attending on Shabbat Weekend, leave this field blank and select your Shabbat Weekend room preference.

Note: Only full convention attendees are eligible for the subsidies listed here. Do not select a subsidy unless you are coming to Full Convention from Thursday - Sunday. (This is a long-standing FJMC rule.) All registrations are audited for this selection.

The IKC has raised over $100,000 to provide the FJMC with a fund to give tefillin and mezuzot to communities around the world that are struggling to maintain their Jewish identity and a Jewish presence in their cities.
