Rabbi Hillel Boaz Skolnik was ordained at Jewish Theological Seminary of America in May, 2011. After serving as the rabbi of the Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation for seven years, Rabbi Hillel and his family moved to Columbus in the summer of 2018 where he now serves as Senior Rabbi of Congregation Tifereth Israel.
Rabbi Hillel is a member of the Extended Executive of the World Zionist Organization, a board member of the American Zionist Movement and of Mercaz USA. Rabbi Hillel also serves on the board of the Columbus Jewish Day School.Before beginning Brandeis University in 2002, Rabbi Hillel spent the year in Israel as a participant on the Nativ Leadership Program where he enjoyed wonderful learning at the Conservative Yeshiva as well as volunteering in the potato and carrot fields of Kibbutz Saad. In December of 2005, he graduated Brandeis University (cum laude) earning degrees in Politics and Near Eastern Judaic Studies.
Rabbis Hillel and his wife, Rabbi Sharon Barr Skolnik, reside in Bexley with their three children.
Stan Greenspan was born in Trail, BC and raised in Toronto, ON, where he lives with his wife of over 47 years, Vanessa, and is the father of Nicole (Tel Aviv) and Jessie (Toronto). A graphic artist and internet developer, Stan graduated in the first baccalaureate class in Image Arts Programme from Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto.
Stan has been involved in the Zionist almost since birth, along with synagogue organizations and the FJMC for over 35 years, beginning at Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue, the Sunnybrook Hospital Jewish Chapel and Bathurst Manor Jewish Centre. Stan has served the FJMC in many roles and was the FJMC International President from 2017 to 2019.
While currently president of MERCAZ-Canada, he will be concluding his term in early February and will become the president of the Canadian Zionist Federation, Canada’s overall representative to the WZO.
Stan was honored to be a member of the Masorti Movement Leadership Mission to provide a witness of the October 7th atrocities. The mission to Israel took place from November 5 to 9, 2023, where the group visited K’far Aza, Ofakim and Nitivot as well as several meetings in Jerusalem, which included an audience with President Isaac Herzog.
Stan serves as a member of the Executive Committee, Zionist General Council, where he has been the Masorti Movement’s member of the WZO Budget Committee which controls the near billion dollars annual spending. Stan ensured that the FJMC, WLCJ and Cantors Assembly and others in our worldwide movement all received new and significant Israel programming grants from 2020 to 2025.
Stan has represented the MERCAZ and Masorti at 5 World Zionist Congress and has led our MERCAZ-Canada delegation at the Virtual Congress in 2020, the 125th Anniversary Zionist Congress, Basel, Switzerland and the most recent Congress, the 75th Anniversary World Zionist Congress, Jerusalem, 2023.
Stan is looking forward to the next Congress in October of 2025 where he will lead the Canadian delegation as it’s national president.
